Caribbean
What is it about the islands of the Caribbean that are so eternally appealing?
Are we lured to them by the stories of civilizations past? Pirate
shipwrecks and stoic Mayan temples? The influences of British, Dutch
and French cultures? Exotic species of birds in brilliant plumage
and rare giant ferns and orchids? Or is it that elusive quest for
the perfect tan, a hammock swaying in a tropical breeze, a cove so
secluded you can we imagine no footsteps have gone before? Cruise
east to enticing scents of myrrh, theme and cloves. To sensous rhythms,
soft-spoken islanders and massive Spanish fortresses. Or west to
the silken sands of the Yucatan and remore places further south:
Roatan, Belize, the Caman Islands...the choice is yours.

Exotics A week in the Caribbean doesn't always suffice. For those that long for more exotic locals, look to exotic destinations. You may want to stand atop a steep hill in Valparaiso, explore the fjords of Chile, or take a dance lesson in Buenos Aires. Maybe the icebergs of Antarctica or the wildlife of the Galapagos Islands is more your interest. Far off the coast of the US, traveling through the Pacific Ocean are lands with natural wonders and beauties like the volcanic rocks of Hawaii, the Great Barrier Reef in Australia or the rainforests of New Zealand. Travel further to reach the vast beaches of Polynesia, Fiji and Tahiti. If you so wish cruises will even take you to the Far East so you can travel old silk trade routes or maybe take a tour of the Great Wall in China. Cruises can take you as far away or as close to home as you want to go. |

Bermuda The sand is pink. The water turquoise. And that's just the beginning of how we'll make your days colorful. They say it's like a tiny chunk of England that floated away in search of better weather. With little stone churches, pubs, cricket games, tea rooms and winding lands bordered in hedges. But with a tropical twist: like hibiscus flowers, crushed-coral beaches, an a shimmering sea. Ah, Bermuda. |

Alaska
Cruising these quiet waters, you'll imagine the mountains, forests and awesome rivers of ice are frozen in time. But this landscape is very much alive. Watch for seals, whales, gaudily costumed puffins, perhaps a black bear. When your ship pauses at the face of a glacier, you gaze, enthralled, as a pinnacle of ice splits off and crashes in to the bay.

Antartica
When you hear the word Antarctica, what do you think of? Penguins, the South Pole, and the coldest place on Earth. This vast land is actually the largest desert due to the lack of precipitation all year. Yet in the summer there is a rejuvenation that takes place. Antarctica's skies are alive with swooping seabirds, its pure snow and water filled with the largest concentration of penguins on our planet. Seals and whales in abundance come there too. There is so much beauty here. Many icebergs float and sparkle blue, and there are even mountains that frame the landscape. It is an untouched natural environment waiting to be explored.

Galapagos Islands
A cluster of 13 volcanic islands once made famous by the studies of famed scientist Charles Darwin. The islands have been linked to his theory of evolution because of its isolated location, many of the island's creatures and inhabitants cannot be found anywhere else in the world. The islands are off the coast of South America nearest to Ecuador. There are many islands you want to cruise to in your life and leave your mark on, but this is one destination where these islands will leave the mark on you. Many destinations promise visitors the chance to "experience a taste of history." A cruise to the Galapagos Islands perhaps illustrates that promise the best, as you are taken to a destination that shaped one of the world's leading scientific findings. From the giant tortoises that carry the Galapagos name, to the marine iguanas and finches, the Galapagos Islands afford visitors the chance to observe a living landscape of adaptation. Guests will have an up-close and rare experience with the least possible environmental impact to these precious shores.

Hawaii and Tahiti
Heading to the Pacific you will find so many wonderful tropical islands. Most of the islands were formed by volcanoes below the sea making them vast landscapes of mountains, hills, and lush vegetation. Many people travel to the Pacific to visit the islands of Hawaii. Hawaii is made up of eight islands; Hawaii, Maui, Oahu, Kauai, Lanai, and the lesser know islands of Niihau, Molokai, and Kahoolawe. Hawaii being the "Big Island" is the main attraction for people. Although being part of the United States, Hawaii and its islands all have a very unique history and background. From the culture of the locals to the beaches or lush rain forests, the Hawaiian Islands do not leave you without splendor. If you desire an even more remote and romantic tropical destination, visit Tahiti and the islands of French Polynesia like Bora Bora and Moorea. Here the cultures are even more primitive. These islands are just as beautiful as Hawaii but the beaches are much more exotic and offer you a true "Island Getaway."

Australia and New Zealand
From Sydney to Melbourne to Perth, explore this vast continent from coast to coast to see what Australia holds in store for you. Visit the outback to see Ayers Rock or hit the coast and swim in the Great Barrier Reef. Australia offers so much to experience and see; from the koala bears and kangaroos, to the Sydney Opera House, to the stories from the Aborigines and natives. Taking a cruise to Australia allows you to venture through this continent getting a taste of what the "Land Down Under" is all about. For a bit more of an extended tour, venture further south to New Zealand. Due to the size of its two islands and lack of a large population, visitors are able to see a very open country side and islands that are still very unsettled by man. Visit Auckland and Christchurch and other cities that make up the civilizations here. New Zealand to this day still remains a very pristine and natural environment. Even its major cities still have the quaint feel found in small towns thanks to the warmth of the Kiwis. |
